Help for Company Maintenance
To join the YFARM.COM Farm Exchange, you must first create an account, then create the company and its seller, buyer, carriers, or service providers. A company can be all four or any combination of the four.
Creating an Account
The first step in the registration process is initiated by selecting the Register button on the Login panel. This process will take you to a new page for input of first name, last name and email address. This process will email the user a URL and a temporary password that can be used for the Step #2 process.
After you have received the "Welcome To YFARM.COM" email, you can go to the site and login using the login panel. After logging in you have access to the company maintenance panels using the pull-down menu on the upper right-hand part of the screen (i.e., the one that currently says product categories) to enter your company information.
At this point the account has no company and thus, cannot use the exchanges or rating service. These accounts will have access to all farming information on the Web site. If you attempt to use pages requiring valid company information, you will be asked to enter your company information for approval by YFARM.COM.
Company Maintenance
Creating a Company
Upon becoming a registered user, the next step is to join the Farm Exchange. Joining the Farm Exchange is a two-step process.
First, you must enter the minimum company information. To do this, login to the system using the temporary password received in the "Welcome to YFARM.COM" email. Enter the company information via the "Company Maintenance" pages. This process consists of completing data on five pages. Under the title "Company Maintenance" select the category to be completed or updated (Company Info, Credit Info, Address Book, or Inventory Locations). The names of the required fields appear in bold. Other fields are optional.
Newly formed companies are created with an EFF_STATUS for the "Initial" status. "Initial" status companies can update company account, contact, seller, buyer, or carrier information.
Each newly formed company will be reviewed by YFARM.COM and marked "Active" upon approval.
Company Info
This page is used to provide general information associated with the user's company.
Company Name
Enter the name of your company as it appears in contracts.
Status
Issued by YFARM.COM upon approval.
Company Function
Farmer/Rancher or Vendor: A Farmer/Rancher or Vendor is either a company representative or a virtual representative responsible for the sale of inventory/commodities in a set of specific regions or a consortium of sellers representing inventory owned by a group of sellers. If a seller is part of a consortium (i.e., has grouped their inventory with other farmers) its inventory has been converted to the consortium's inventory.
Buyer: A Buyer is a company or virtual representative responsible for buying inventory/commodities.
Carrier: A Carrier is a company or virtual representative responsible for providing transportation services for inventory/commodities.
Service Provider: A Service Provider is a company or virtual representative responsible for providing that companies services i.e. packing, picking, machine repair, etc.
Default Product Category
Select the product category appropriate to the company's product from the pull-down menu.
Preferred Shipper:
This field will be used at a later date to identify a company's preferred shipping company.
Payment Term
Identify your company's standard Accounts Receivable Payment Terms from the pull-down menu options.
Billing Address
Select an address from the Company Maintenance Address Book to serve as the default company address for general billing.
Contact
Every account, buyer, seller, or carrier has contact information associated. Enter details for this information under Company Maintenance 'sUser. Identify the default user for general company inquiries.

This Web page provides general credit information about a user company. Although entry of data on this page is optional, information entered here may be of value to your trading partners during negotiation.
Duns Number
Enter your company's Dunn and Bradstreet Number.
Year Started
Enter the year that your company was founded.
Total Employees
Provide the company's total number of employees.
Publicly Held
Indicate whether the company is Publicly Held.
CEO Title
Identify the official title of the company's chief executive.
CEO Name
Provide the name of the company's chief executive.
Legal Form
The legal form of your company (partnership, corporation, etc.).
Last Update
This field is generated by the system and reflects the last time the information on this page was updated.
Accountant Name
Enter the name of your company's CPA.
Annual Sales
Enter your company's estimated level of Annual Sales, in U. S. Dollars.
Net Worth
Enter your company's estimated net worth, in U.S. Dollars.
Subsidiary
Select this box if the company is a subsidiary of another company.
Comments
Provide any comments concerning the company's financial situation, which may be of interest to others.

Address Book
The Address Book includes company addresses, which may be utilized in transacting business. This may include address for corporate offices, billing, inventory storage locations (e.g., cooler locations), etc.

This page displays a list of addresses entered for a company, in the format of Description, Address and Status.

User
This Web page is used for the entry and identification of all company personnel who are authorized to access YFARM.COM. Once a new user has been added to this web page, an email is sent to the appropriate email address providing the new user with a temporary YFARM.COM password.
When first accessed, the page presents a list of the users who have already been identified to the system for the company showing their Name, Title, Email address, Phone number and Status.

Inventory Location
This web page is used for the entry and identification of all company locations where inventory is stored or where the goods may be picked up or delivered.
When first accessed, the page displays a list of inventory locations, which have already been identified to the system for the company showing their Description and Address.
